Job summary

Siemens Rail Components in Alpharetta, GA is seeking a skilled Test Engineer to support the introduction and production of rail components. You will collaborate with U.S. and international teams to adapt test setups, provide technical expertise, and improve testing processes for rail components.

You will lead efforts to define opportunities for reducing routed hours, improving tester safety, and supporting sustainability initiatives, while mentoring teams in test development and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering with a minimum of five years of related experience.
• Experience with National Instruments LabVIEW in a manufacturing environment.
• Skilled in writing and editing requirement documents, test plans, and work instructions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all new test infrastructure and troubleshooting existing ones
• Review and improving Test Requirements and ensure local infrastructure is adequate
• Creation, improvement, and troubleshooting of Test Procedures and Test Programs
• Represent Engineering Team at Internal and Customer FAIs to support any questions regarding design and test infrastructure.
• Lead teams to define opportunities for reducing routed hours, increasing ergonomics, improving tester safety, and favorably impacting our sustainability efforts
