Job summary

Masimo, a Danaher operating company in Irvine, CA, is seeking a skilled Component Engineer II responsible for supporting new product development and sustaining engineering across multiple medical device lines.

You will engage in component selection, lifecycle management, and supplier coordination to mitigate risks and ensure continuity. On-site role with collaboration across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of component engineering or related engineering experience.
• Experience with electronic components, BOMs, and lifecycle management.
• Familiarity with PCNs, EOL notices, and obsolescence management.

Responsibilities

• Support new product development, sustaining engineering, and supply continuity for medical devices.
• Collaborate on component selection, qualification, and alternate sourcing based on specs and lifecycle needs.
• Evaluate PCNs, EOLs, and supplier changes; perform risk assessments and communicate with stakeholders.
• Create and maintain component records including inventory part numbers and specs.
• Assist sourcing for prototype builds and project schedules, identifying long-lead components.
