Job summary

Masimo in Irvine, CA, is seeking an Engineer, Desktop Software to design, develop, and implement desktop applications for our medical devices. This role covers all stages of software development, from conception to final product, reporting to the Manager, Desktop Software in the Software Engineering department, and is an on-site position.

You will collaborate with engineers to deliver releases, implement features interfacing with Masimo devices, and ensure reliability through testing and

Qualifications

B.S. degree in computer science or a related field.
Programming experience in C, C++, Python, or a similar language.
Experience developing, debugging, and testing software.
Familiarity with Git or another version control system.
Experience developing desktop applications, especially with Qt, and interest in medical devices is a plus.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain features for desktop applications that interface with Masimo medical devices.
Implement software from defined requirements and designs, with guidance from experienced engineers.
Write clear code and tests, investigate defects, and help improve application reliability.
Collaborate with engineers and other team members to deliver and support software releases.
