Job summary

PRI Global is seeking an experienced Component Engineer to own qualification, sourcing, and supply-risk management for electrical, electromechanical, and optoelectronic components across Reality Labs hardware products.

The role serves as a technical bridge between Electrical Engineering, Global Supply Management, Contract Manufacturers, and component suppliers to ensure proper qualification, multi-sourcing, and controlled supply, cost, quality, and reliability through NPI and sustaining stages.

Qualifications

• Degree in a technical field with hands-on component engineering experience.
• Experience in hardware engineering, supplier quality or supply-chain roles.
• Familiarity with qualification/reliability methodologies and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Review, qualify, and approve electrical, electro-mechanical, and optoelectronic components.
• Lead second-source and multi-source qualification to mitigate supply risk.
• Manage NPRs, AVL, BOM/CBOM, ECN, and PCN processes for hardware portfolios.
• Coordinate with EE, GSM, CM, and suppliers across global regions; use data tools for decisions.
