Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS) seeks a Project Engineer to coordinate mechanical component development across multiple projects, maintain schedules, lead reviews, and align engineering teams, suppliers and manufacturing sites worldwide.

The candidate should hold a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering and have 5+ years in engineering or product development, with strong GD&T, 3D CAD (Creo) and PLM experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in engineering, product development, or project coordination.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T, tolerances, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with 3D CAD and PLM systems (Creo, Windchill).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate engineering activities across multiple mechanical component development projects from concept to production release.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, action trackers, risk registers, and other PM tools.
• Coordinate priorities, responsibilities, dependencies, and deliverables across engineering team members and functions.
• Facilitate design reviews, DFM, FEA, tolerance, tooling, and product validation activities.
• Document meeting outcomes, decisions, open issues, owners, and due dates.
• Track prototype builds, engineering samples, test plans, qualification activities, and corrective actions.
• Prepare clear status reports, presentations, and leadership updates.
• Maintain organized project documentation in CAD/PLM systems.
