Job summary

Service Station Systems, Inc. is hiring for a Warehouse Lead with training provided. You will handle warehouse responsibilities, basic vehicle maintenance, safety inspections, and inventory control while supporting operations.

You will travel to customer sites and shop locations daily, with paid overnight stays. Able to work hands-on with tools, be comfortable with mechanics, plumbing, and electrical concepts, and maintain company vehicle and records.

Qualifications

• No formal education required.
• Mechanical skills: use hand tools and some power tools.
• Basic computer skills to operate laptops/ iPad.
• Hobbies related to mechanical/auto/electrical/carpentry are relevant.
• Knowledge of basic plumbing/electrical concepts is a plus.
• Prior field experience working with customers is preferred.
• Experience in construction, automotive, manufacturing, plumbing, HVAC or related industries is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance on fuel dispensers and related equipment.
• Use hand tools and power tools for maintenance tasks.
• Troubleshoot and repair leaks, replace O-rings, gaskets and components.
• Assist with tank monitoring and sump pump operations; install/replace sump pumps.
• Perform pressure testing and replace meters and filters.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues at dispensers or POS systems and use voltmeter/multimeter.
• Follow safety protocols and document job notes; maintain records in systems.
• Maintain a clean, well-organized company vehicle and equipment.
• Travel to customer sites daily, with occasional overnight stays (paid).

Job description

Service Station Systems, Inc. - a company under Northwest Pump - is excited to open the position of Warehouse Lead and potentially have you as part of our growing company! This role has traditional warehouse responsibilities with exposure to basic vehicle maintenance cleaning and management, and supporting general operations. You will play a key role in keeping our operations efficient and compliant by assisting with vehicle upkeep, safety inspections, warehouse management, cleaning, shipping and receiving and inventory control.

Job Duties (Training is provided):

• Complete testing of customer sites per government regulations, which may include testing sensors, pumps, lines, tanks and more (training is included).
• Perform routine maintenance on fuel dispensers (Wayne, Gilbarco, etc.), including replacing nozzles and breakaway hoses.
• Use hand tools (wrenches, sockets, screwdrivers) and power tools (drills) for maintenance tasks.
• Troubleshoot and repair fuel dispenser leaks, such as leaking nozzles, pumps, valves. Replace O-rings, gaskets, and basic piping fixtures.
• Assist with tank monitoring and sump pump operations. Install or replace sump pumps.
• Perform pressure testing, replace meters, filters and faulty sensors.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues at dispensers or Point of Sale (POS) systems. Replace electrical components and perform basic voltage measurements using a voltmeter/multimeter.
• Follow job documents and safety protocols, take detailed job notes and update relevant systems with laptop or ipad. Set up safety equipment and barricades as needed.
• Maintain a well-organized and fully stocked company vehicle, ensuring it is clean and functional.
• Drive to customer sites and shop locations daily, with occasional overnight stays (paid).

This job duties list is not exhaustive. You will be trained and certified as your career progresses to do more advanced technical work related to servicing the fuel industry.

Your Qualifications:

• No formal education or trade school are required for the role.
• Mechanical Skills – experience with hand tools (wrenches, sockets, screwdrivers) and some basic power tools (drills) is required.
• Basic Computer Skills – ability to use laptops and other electronic devices (iPad, phone) proficiently is required.
• Hobbies related to mechanical, automotive, electrical, carpentry, etc. are relevant for the role.
• Knowledge of basic plumbing (pressure, valves, etc.) and electrical (voltage, AC/DC) concepts are preferred.
• Prior experience working in the field, hands-on, and with customers is preferred.
• Experience in relevant industries is a plus (construction, automotive, manufacturing, plumbing, HVAC, electrician, maintenance, etc.).
