Position Overview

The Compliance Specialist is responsible for conducting compliance reviews and providing administrative support for the Bank Secrecy Act, audit, compliance, and risk management functions. This is a part-time position, 30 hours per week.

Essential Functions

• Conduct compliance monitoring and report findings.
• Research, verify, and document compliance activities; ensure documentation is complete and organized.
• Compile, track, and upload audit information.
• Disseminate, track, and monitor employee compliance training.
• Assist in updating compliance policies and procedures.
• Identify and report non-compliance issues to management.
• Stay informed about relevant laws and regulations; ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
• Complete Currency Transaction Reports.
• Maintain a spreadsheet for branch cash orders and shipments to monitor deviations.
• Monitor site visit completion.
• Perform quality control reviews related to BSA, Patriot Act, AML, OFAC, and CIP compliance.
• Update and maintain organized files and records.
• Perform additional duties as required.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

The physical demands include sitting, talking, hearing, reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching. The employee must occasionally lift up to 10 pounds. Vision abilities required include close, distance, peripheral vision, and focus adjustment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two or more years of related experience in financial services.
• Knowledge of banking operations, accounting, auditing, and compliance procedures.
• Ability to interpret and communicate policies effectively.
• Proficiency in MS Office; ability to learn other applications.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Discretion in handling confidential information.
