Summary
This position offers an opportunity to move away from the mundane, repetitive duties of a traditional compliance auditor or specialist. While some responsibilities are similar, the Compliance Partner role is primarily focused on providing exceptional customer service and partnering with clients to achieve and maintain regulatory compliance. It offers the flexibility to work remotely, supported by a leading company in the affordable compliance industry. There is also potential to work in a state-of-the-art facility in Richardson, TX. The position is fully equipped with tools and resources to facilitate excellent job performance. Travel opportunities may be available depending on contract demands, including on-site file reviews, training, and file processing.

Primary Responsibilities

  1. Client Support: Serve as the first point of contact for clients, communicating with site managers via phone and email to answer questions about affordable housing compliance and provide guidance/training to enhance their understanding of applicable requirements.
  2. File Reviews: Electronically review applicant/resident files via a web-based system to ensure compliance with federal and state program regulations within contractual timeframes. Analyze potential risks to prevent compliance issues.
  3. File Processing: Conduct onsite interviews and process files for clients under various regulatory programs including LIHTC, HOME, BOND, RD, and Section 8.
  4. Communication: Provide clear written communication to relay file deficiencies, ensure important information is conveyed effectively, listen actively to understand others' questions and comments, and support clients using verbal skills, always considering internal and external customers.

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • 2 to 5 years of experience in affordable housing compliance or property management.
  • Proximity to a major airport and familiarity with business travel.
  • Knowledge of LIHTC, HUD Project-Based Section 8, or Public Housing program requirements.
