Wildwood Programs is seeking a Compliance Specialist in Latham, NY to plan and conduct activities related to Corporate Compliance of services and records.

Essential duties include Medicaid billing audits using EHR systems, program and fiscal reviews, data-driven audit tools, POCA tracking, and training staff on documentation standards to ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent required.
• 3 years experience with OPWDD or nonprofit/healthcare auditing.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience considered.

Responsabilités

• Conducts internal billing audits for Medicaid-funded services using EHR systems.
• Administers program and fiscal reviews; reports findings and develops improvement plans.
• Develops data-driven audit tools to analyze compliance metrics.
• Tracks external audits and Plans of Corrective Action (POCA).
• Provides training and support on EHR documentation standards.
• Identifies deficits and recommends improvements to program administration.
• Maintains knowledge of regulatory requirements for Wildwood services.

Salary Range: The range is $24.85-$32.80/hr depending on relevant experience

Requirements

• Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from a regionally accredited two-year college or technical school;
• 3 years experience with OPWDD, or auditing in a non-profit/healthcare setting
• An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

Computer Skills

• Experience with Google Workspace
• Proficiency with Excel, Word, Google Drive
• Ability to navigate and train on database software.

Who we are looking for:

A non-profit professional to be our Compliance Specialist and plan and conduct activities concerned with the Corporate Compliance of Wildwood Programs services and records

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Conducts routine internal billing audits for Medicaid-funded services, leveraging EHR systems and database tools to track and verify accuracy.
• Administers program and fiscal reviews as assigned by the Director, based on the established auditing schedule. Analyzes review outcomes, presents reported findings, and develops Plans of Improvement at the completion of a review.
• Develops, updates, and uses data-driven audit tools to analyze metrics and measure compliance with regulations.
• Tracks, logs, and analyzes data on external audits/surveys and Plans of Corrective Action (POCA).
• Provides direct training, ongoing technical assistance, and troubleshooting support for staff on Electronic Health Record (EHR) database software and documentation standards.
• Identifies deficits, errors, and systemic breakdowns during compliance activities through data analysis and recommends evidence-based improvements to program administration and the Director.
• Maintains a working knowledge of program and regulatory aspects, including documentation and data reporting requirements of all services offered by Wildwood, OPWDD, and NYSED.
