Job summary

Triage Staffing is seeking a dedicated Compliance Specialist to oversee the end-to-end compliance process for new healthcare placements. You will verify documentation, coordinate with clients and vendors, and ensure timely clearance for start dates across assignments.

The role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication, and the ability to navigate state and Joint Commission requirements while maintaining the organization’s high ethical standards.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or equivalent professional experience required; bachelor's preferred.
  • Detail-oriented with ability to follow instructions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to handle confidential situations with poise.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with MS Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary compliance liaison for healthcare professionals and clients, ensuring all federal, state, client, and Joint Commission requirements are met.
  • Execute compliance process for new placements including review and verification of documentation for accuracy, completeness and timeliness.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Recruiting to ensure healthcare professionals are cleared to start assignments on time.
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors to complete background checks, exams, medical testing, and other screenings.
  • Identify and communicate state-specific background check and fingerprint requirements for timely processing.
  • Maintain compliance files and data in internal systems and Vendor Management Systems with data integrity and audit readiness.
  • Process assignment extensions ensuring all compliance requirements are current.
  • Provide proactive communication with clients regarding compliance status for booked and active professionals.
  • Maintain compliance documentation to ensure audit readiness and high ethical standards.
  • Uphold Triage's high standards of ethics in client interactions.

Job description

Responsible for executing the compliance process for new placements while maintaining ongoing oversight to ensure adherence to Triage, client, state, and Joint Commission standards.

Requirements Core Functions & Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary compliance liaison for healthcare professionals and Triage clients, ensuring all federal, state, client, and Joint Commission requirements are met.
  • Execute the compliance process for new healthcare professionals, including review and verification of documentation for accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
  • Proactively collaborate with Sales and Recruiting, maintaining strong cross-functional partnerships to ensure healthcare professionals are cleared to start assignments on time.
  • Partner with third-party vendors to complete all necessary background checks, exams, medical testing, and other required screenings.
  • Ensure state specific background check and fingerprint requirements are accurately identified and communicated to the Background Specialist for timely processing.
  • Clear and maintain assigned files in a timely and organized manner, ensuring compliance standards are met prior to start and throughout the assignment lifecycle.
  • Process assignment extensions ensuring all compliance requirements are current.
  • Maintain proactive communication with clients regarding compliance status for booked and active healthcare professionals.
  • Accurately maintain compliance documentation within internal systems and applicable Vendor Management Systems (VMS), ensuring data integrity and audit readiness.
  • Efficiently serve Triage clients while upholding Triage's high standards of ethics.
Required Skills, Abilities, & Education
  • Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Detail oriented with the ability to consistently follow instructions.
  • Exhibit a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations independently with consistent poise, tact, and diplomacy.
  • Strong sense of urgency, prioritization, and time management skills to meet deadlines independently.
  • Solid ability to professionally communicate timely and clearly, both verbally and in writing.
  • Able to expertly analyze and resolve work problems while utilizing sound decision-making capabilities.
  • Requires ongoing coordination, communication and/or team problem solving between departments or functional areas for work production or service quality.
  • An Associate's degree or applicable professional experience required; A Bachelor's degree is preferred.?
Work Schedule
  • This is an hourly paid position, with shifts being an 8-hour workday for a 40-hour work week.
  • In-office with flexibility to work from home with manager approval.?
  • Additional hours worked as needed to complete the work for this position.
