Job summary

Aviagen North America is seeking a Compliance Specialist to support compliance across the South Region from the Center of Excellence in Elkmont, Alabama. The role requires frequent travel and close collaboration with site managers and staff to drive corrective actions and improvements.

Responsibilities include audits, change management support, and maintaining calibration programs, with a focus on root-cause analysis and reporting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; College degree preferred.
• Proven working experience with Microsoft Office.
• ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor Certification is preferred.
• Effective presentation skills.
• Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Bilingual communication skills a plus.

Responsibilities

• Performing internal audits (ISO 9001 based) and investigations of a variety of sites, including but not limited to: farms, hatcheries, feed mills, and egg distribution centers.
• Working closely with groups within the company to assist in change management, and work instruction creation.
• Maintaining and improving upon the current calibration program.
• Identifying deficiencies, nonconformities, and opportunities for improvement.
• Assisting site management in performing Root Cause and Corrective Action Analysis.
• Assisting to verify the effectiveness of corrective actions for deficiencies, nonconformities, and improvements.
• Produce monthly reports on progress and needs.
• Capable of working well in a team environment as well as individually.
• Other duties to be assigned.
