Aviagen North America's Center of Excellence in Alabama seeks a Compliance Specialist to support ISO 9001 based audits across the South Region; located within 1 hour of Elkmont, this role requires about 50% travel. You will perform internal audits, help with change management, calibration programs, root cause analysis, and produce monthly progress reports; collaboration with site managers.

Responsibilities

• Perform internal audits (ISO 9001 based) across various sites including farms, hatcheries, feed mills and egg distribution centers
• Collaborate with company groups to assist in change management and create work instructions
• Maintain and improve the calibration program
• Identify deficiencies, nonconformities, and opportunities for improvement
• Assist site management in root cause and corrective action analyses
• Verify effectiveness of corrective actions for deficiencies and improvements
• Produce monthly reports on progress and needs
• Work well in a team or independently
• Other duties as assigned in the USA

Job Description Summary

We are looking for an outstanding person to fill the position of Compliance Specialist in Aviagen North America’s Center of Excellence. This person will be responsible for supporting compliance needs in Aviagen’s South Region. This person will need to be located within 1 hour of our South Region Production Base in Elkmont, Alabama. This position is approximately 50% travel, including overnight travel. This role will work closely with all site managers and staff in Aviagen’s South Region. Requirements

• High School Diploma required


• College degree preferred


• Proven working experience with Microsoft Office is required


• ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor Certification is preferred


• Effective presentation skills


• Must have strong written and verbal communication skills


• Bilingual communication skills a plus

Primary Responsibilities

• Performing internal audits (ISO 9001 based) and investigations of a variety of sites, including but not limited to: farms, hatcheries, feed mills, and egg distribution centers.


• Working closely groups within the company to assist in change management, and work instruction creation.


• Maintaining and improving upon the current calibration program.


• Identifying deficiencies, nonconformities, and opportunities for improvement.


• Assisting site management in performing Root Cause and Corrective Action Analysis.


• Assisting to verify the effectiveness of corrective actions for deficiencies, nonconformities, and improvements.


• Produce monthly reports on progress and needs


• Capable of working well in a team environment as well as individually
