About The Team
You will join a global Legal, Risk, and Compliance team to develop and operate a top-tier regulatory compliance program as Reap expands in the United States.

What You’ll Do
As the first compliance hire in the US, you will adapt our proven compliance playbook to the US market. Your responsibilities include building local compliance operations, liaising with regulators to obtain licenses such as MTL/VASP, and securing local bank BIN sponsorship for payment cards. You will handle various compliance matters, collaborating with stakeholders and government authorities to ensure adherence to US regulations.

• Create and maintain compliance policies, procedures, registers, and trackers to meet US regulatory requirements.
• Serve as the subject matter expert on licensing and AML matters for a licensed VASP, cards, and payments fintech in the US.
• Act as the registered officer for licensing purposes.
• Operationally execute the AML/CFT program locally, with potential expansion as business demand grows.
• Utilize SQL and data analysis to detect financial crime behaviors, conduct risk assessments, and report findings to the global team.

Who You Are
If you are a US-based AML/CFT expert eager to join a high-growth startup, this role is for you.

• 8+ years of relevant AML/CFT experience in fintech, payment companies, virtual asset firms, or financial institutions.
• Deep knowledge of US stablecoin and virtual asset regulations.
• Strong understanding of US regulatory frameworks and decision-making processes.
• Ability to collaborate across complex organizations and cultures.
• Proficiency in SQL/Python and data analysis for risk detection.
• Willingness to work US hours and adapt to different time zones.
• Ability to navigate regulatory grey areas with creativity and insight.
