Job summary

Dutchess Cannabis is seeking an experienced Manager of Retail Compliance to support locations in the state of Ohio. The Manager will work with the Director of Compliance to develop and implement the organization’s Compliance Program in Ohio.

This role requires travel to multi-state retail locations and will involve audits, regulatory investigations, and the creation of compliant processes across the retail business units.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of experience in cannabis compliance.
• Direct experience within a cannabis regulatory environment in Ohio.
• Ability to travel to multi-state retail locations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure retail compliance with applicable state, county and municipal laws.
• Serve as compliance contact for Ohio Retail initiatives.
• Perform audits and monthly store reviews, and quarterly audits.
• Investigate and remediate compliance concerns or violations.
• Maintain calendar of deadlines, audits, and training requirements.
• Assist with regulatory inquiries and development of training programs.
• Prepare regulatory documentation and coordinate inspections.
• Present monthly compliance updates to stakeholders.
• Provide guidance on emerging regulatory issues to internal teams.
• Own action items through completion and escalate when needed.
• Travel between multi-state Retail facilities and provide training.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Dutchess Cannabis is seeking an experienced Manager of Retail Compliance to support locations in the state of Ohio. The Manager of Retail Compliance will have a basic knowledge of the cannabis industry. Ideally candidates will possess a minimum of 2+ years experience, and have direct experience working within the cannabis regulatory environment in the state of Ohio.

JOB SUMMARY: The Manager of Retail Compliance will be responsible for working with the Director of Compliance and cross-functional business partners in the development and implementation of the organization's Compliance Program in the state of Ohio.

The Manager of Retail Compliance will have demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced organizational structure and experience with Compliance Program development and process improvement. This position will report to the Director of Compliance.

Flexibility to travel to multi-state retail locations is required.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for retail compliance with applicable state, county and municipal laws, ordinances, and regulations within the organization's retail business units.
• Serves as a compliance point of contact for the organization's Ohio Retail initiatives and support for other business unit needs as appropriate.
• Performs audits and monitoring of Retail business units, conducting monthly retail documentation reviews and quarterly comprehensive retail store audits.
• Assists in the investigations and remediation of compliance concerns, issues, or violations.
• Maintains an organized calendar of compliance deadlines, audits, training, and persistently tracks outstanding requirements through completion.
• Assists with the response to regulatory agency inquiries and investigations as appropriate.Assists with the development and implementation of a compliance training and education program tailored to the Retail business unit.
• Prepares and submits documentation required for regulatory approvals and coordinates the inspection process with regulatory agencies as needed.
• Prepares and presents a monthly compliance meeting with stakeholders.
• Serves as the subject matter expert on current and prospective regulations and provides compliance regulatory advice to internal business partners, including providing regular updates on emerging regulatory issues, trends, and other developments.
• Own all assigned action items through completion. This includes proactive follow-up, obstacle resolution, stakeholder engagement, and escalation if necessary.
• Travels among the Company's multi-state Retail facilities, including training.
• Additional duties as assigned.
