Job summary

EliseAI is seeking a Compliance Lead to help build and operate AML/BSA, KYC/KYB, fraud detection and loss prevention, and sanctions compliance programs. This role will maintain regulatory readiness, manage relationships with banking partners, and ensure policies and systems support responsible growth.

You will work cross‑functionally with Legal, Product, Engineering, Operations, and stakeholders to operationalize compliance, support audits, and improve KYC and transaction‑monitoring workflows.

Qualifications

• 5+ years AML/BSA compliance experience at a fintech, bank, payment processor or similar.
• Hands‑on experience managing relationships with banking partners or sponsor banks.
• Experience building AML/BSA programs from 0 to 1.
• Knowledge of transaction monitoring, due diligence, and sanctions screening.
• Strong written communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to translate regulatory requirements for cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Willingness to work in person 4–5 days a week.

Responsibilities

• Own and continuously improve the company's AML/BSA, KYC/KYB, fraud and sanctions programs.
• Serve as primary compliance contact for banking and fintech partners.
• Lead KYC/KYB processes, oversee monitoring, and prepare required reports.
• Translate regulatory requirements into practical workflows with Legal, Product, and Engineering.
• Contribute compliance guidance to new products and market initiatives.
• Coordinate tests, audits, and responses to regulators and partners.
• Track regulatory developments and translate them into actionable steps.
• Build a culture where compliance is embedded in product and outcomes.
• Own the BSA/AML training program and report progress to third parties.
