The Montana Department of Justice, Gambling Control Division, is seeking a Compliance Investigator to support licensure and enforcement efforts across gambling, alcohol, and tobacco.

You will conduct background, suitability, financial, corporate inquiries, perform criminal and regulatory investigations, and coordinate with law enforcement and regulatory partners to ensure compliance with state policy. This full-time position requires investigators' experience and a valid MT POST pathway.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
• Three years of directly related experience.
• A law enforcement officer with a valid MT POST certificate.
• Current or former law enforcement officer eligible for MT POST certification within 1 year.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct background, suitability, financial, corporate, and other inquiries for licensure applicants.
• Perform criminal and administrative investigations using overt/covert tactics.
• Maintain liaison with criminal justice and regulatory agencies.
• Inspect licensed gambling, alcohol and tobacco locations within the state.
• Present law enforcement training seminars at the Montana Law Enforcement Academy and to Montana citizens.
