Job summary

PING is seeking a summer intern to join its Compliance team in the Phoenix metro area for 2027. The role focuses on collecting, analyzing, and managing data to support packaging sustainability and regulatory compliance.

You will assist with EPR, PPWR, data analysis, regulatory research, and reporting, gaining hands-on experience with Power Platform, Excel, SQL, and Python. A minimum of two years of college coursework in math or science is required, and interest in golf is valued.

Qualifications

• Strong data analysis and visualization, especially Excel and Power BI; R is a plus.
• Experience with structured datasets; familiarity with SQL Server/Azure SQL preferred.
• Data preparation, data pipelines, and ETL; Python knowledge is a plus.
• Proficient with Microsoft tools, especially Excel and SharePoint.
• Experience with Power Platform, including Power Automate and Power Apps.
• Understanding packaging materials, recyclability, and EPR reporting is a plus.
• Strong research, analytical, organizational, and detail-oriented skills.
• Interest in AI applications (Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude).

Brief Description

PING is currently seeking students who have a combined passion for data, sustainability, compliance, and the game of golf. An opportunity exists to join our Compliance team for a summer internship in 2027. This position requires the candidate to reside in the Phoenix Metro Area.

High-level job duties include supporting the Compliance team in collecting, analyzing, and managing data to support packaging sustainability and regulatory compliance initiatives. The intern will assist with Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR), EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR), packaging data analysis, regulatory research, compliance reporting, and process improvement. Minimum qualifications include 2 years of accredited math or science coursework combined with general experience in and knowledge of golf.

• Strong data analysis and visualization skills, particularly using Excel and Power BI. Experience with R is a plus.
• Experience working with and managing structured datasets; familiarity with SQL Server and/or Azure SQL is preferred.
• Experience with data preparation, data pipelines, and ETL processes; knowledge of Python is a plus.
• Strong familiarity with Microsoft tools, particularly Excel and SharePoint.

Additional Information

• A minimum of 2 years of college coursework must be completed by the time you begin your internship
• You must be willing to dedicate at least 8 weeks (40 hours per week) to the internship
• This internship requires you to be onsite in Phoenix, Arizona
