Zinnia Health is seeking a detail-oriented Compliance Coordinator to support regulatory compliance across Rhode Island SUD treatment programs. This remote-friendly role requires onsite availability in Exeter and Cranston for training and inspections.

You will liaise between leadership and operations, manage audits, documentation, risk assessments, and ensure HIPAA and licensing standards are upheld while promoting quality care and accountability.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Compliance Coordinator to support regulatory compliance activities across our Substance Use Disorder (SUD) treatment programs in Rhode Island. This position plays an important role in helping ensure compliance with state licensing requirements, accreditation standards, internal policies, and healthcare regulations while supporting quality care and operational excellence.

The Compliance Coordinator serves as a liaison between leadership and operational teams, assisting with audits, documentation management, compliance training, risk assessments, and ongoing monitoring activities. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is passionate about healthcare compliance and making a positive impact within behavioral health and addiction treatment services.

Position Location

This role will work remotely, but candidate must be able to be onsite in Exeter and Cranston as needed for occasions such as training, CARF inspections, ect.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain compliance records, regulatory filings, audit reports, policies, and licensing documentation.
• Track important compliance deadlines, renewals, inspections, and audit schedules.
• Support state licensing, accreditation, and regulatory compliance activities.
• Assist with internal audits, self-assessments, compliance reviews, and corrective action plans.
• Monitor employee compliance training requirements and completion.
• Prepare reports and compliance documentation for leadership and regulatory agencies.
• Support investigations related to compliance concerns and assist with remediation efforts.
• Coordinate risk assessment activities and track follow-up actions.
• Review operational processes and identify potential compliance implications.
• Assist with vendor compliance monitoring as needed.
• Provide administrative support for compliance and quality improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with program leadership to promote a culture of compliance and accountability.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Strong organizational and administrative skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain confidentiality, and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Public Policy, Law, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of one year of compliance, quality assurance, healthcare administration, or regulatory experience.
• Experience in behavioral health, substance use disorder treatment, healthcare, or human services.
• Familiarity with Rhode Island licensing standards and accreditation organizations such as The Joint Commission or CARF.
• Healthcare compliance or quality-related certifications

• Understanding of licensing and accreditation standards.
