Job summary

Kennesaw State University is seeking a Compliance Coordinator for Athletics to join our NCAA compliance staff. You will help create monitoring systems, educate staff on NCAA rules, and provide research on interpretations and waiver decisions. Details and day-to-day delegations are assigned by leadership.

Responsibilities include monitoring programs, developing education materials, and assisting with official visits, eligibility reviews, and financial aid matters in line with NCAA guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education.
  • Experience with NCAA compliance or equivalent rules is preferred.
  • Ability to create educational materials for staff and athletes.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in monitoring KSU sports programs for compliance.
  • Create and present educational materials on NCAA rules to staff and athletes.
  • Research NCAA rules interpretations and advise on waivers.
  • Support with staff submissions under NCAA Article 11 requirements.
  • Monitor and approve camps, clinics, and official visits under Recruiting rules.
  • Evaluate amateurism and initial eligibility pre-enrollment.
  • Assist with processing National Letters of Intent and aid.
  • Monitor countable athletically related activities and time management plans.

Location

Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

Job Summary

Serves as an integral part of the KSU Athletics Compliance Staff. Assists in the creation of monitoring systems and educates staff on NCAA, conference, Kennesaw State University and other governing rules, regulations and policies. Provides research and recommendations on educational outreach efforts and NCAA rules interpretations. Day to day specificities of job delegation will be assigned by department leadership.

Responsibilities
  • 1. Assists in monitoring KSU sports programs
  • 2. Creates education material and presents those materials to staff and student-athletes including but not limited to NCAA, conference, Kennesaw State University Athletic Association, Kennesaw State University and other governing rules, regulations and policies
  • 3. Provides research and recommendations on NCAA rules interpretations and waiver submissions
  • 4. NCAA Article 11 ' Conduct and Employment of Athletics Personnel
    • a. Assists with Declaration of Staff Submissions
  • 5. NCAA Article 13 ' Recruiting
    • a. Monitors Contacts and Evaluations
    • b. Monitors and Approves Camps and Clinics
    • c. Monitors and Approves Official Visits
  • 6. NCAA Articles 12 and 14 ' Amateurism Eligibility and Academic Eligibility
    • a. Evaluates prospective student-athlete amateurism and initial eligibility pre-enrollment
  • 7. NCAA Article 15 ' Financial Aid
    • a. Assists with processing National Letters of Intent and Grants in Aid
  • 8. NCAA Article 17 ' Playing and Practice Seasons
    • a. Monitors Countable Athletically Related Activities
    • b. Monitors Time Management Plans
    • c. Monitors and Approves Playing and Practice Season Declarations
Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution of higher education

Required Experience

One (1) year or experience related to the role

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Educational Qualifications

An advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field

Preferred Experience

Previous experience with NCAA compliance

Proposed Salary

The budgeted salary range is $19.60 to $24.03 per hour. Offers are based on relevant experience.
