Job summary

Speridian Technologies is seeking a HIPAA Compliance Expert and a seasoned Project Management Consultant with extensive experience in the healthcare sector. This remote role requires West Coast business hours and expertise in HIPAA compliance and healthcare IT to lead large-scale projects.

You will develop policies, manage stakeholders, and deliver training to ensure compliant operations across the organization, using Waterfall and Agile methodologies to drive successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 24 months of HIPAA compliance review/audit experience in the last five years.
• Minimum of 24 months delivering training or developing HIPAA-related policies in the last five years.
• Minimum of 24 months engaging with healthcare stakeholders in the last five years.
• Minimum of 24 months analyzing HIPAA laws and policies in the last five years.

Responsibilities

• HIPAA compliance: develop and administer compliant programs, track regulatory changes.
• Project management: lead large-scale projects using Waterfall and Agile.
• Stakeholder management: liaise with healthcare stakeholders and ensure collaboration.
• Policy development: craft and review healthcare policies for compliance and ops.
• Training & development: create and deliver HIPAA training for staff.

Role and Responsibilities:

• HIPAA Compliance: develop and administer HIPAA-compliant programs, staying abreast of regulatory changes, and implementing best practices.
• Project Management: Proficient in managing large-scale, complex projects using both Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
• Stakeholder Management: Skilled in liaising with healthcare stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
• Policy Development: Experience in crafting and reviewing healthcare policies and procedures to ensure compliance and operational excellence.
• Training & Development: Proficient in developing and delivering training on HIPAA-covered information and compliance.

Must have for contact compliance purposes:

• Minimum of 24 months of work experience, in the last five years, working on a job or an engagement that included performing a compliance review or audit of HIPAA laws, rules, or policies. or Minimum of 24 months of work experience, in the last five years, working on a job or an engagement that included providing training or developing workplace policies/procedures on the dissemination or protection of HIPAA-covered information.
• Minimum of 24 months of experience, in the last five years, working on a job or an engagement that included managing or communicating with healthcare stakeholders. Stakeholders are defined as parties that use or disseminate protected health information.
• Minimum of 24 months of experience, in the last five years, working on a job or an engagement that included analyzing and documenting the laws, rules, or policies regarding protected health information.

• Legislative experience is a plus
