Job summary

Froedtert Health is seeking a Compliance Consultant to help the organization adhere to healthcare regulations and internal policies. This role involves monitoring regulatory requirements, researching risks and advising leaders with practical guidance to stay compliant.

Responsibilities include conducting internal investigations, auditing, data analysis and multi-tasking across complex projects while maintaining clear communication with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration or related field required.
• Minimum five years of healthcare-related experience required.
• 3+ years in healthcare compliance, privacy, quality, process improvement, auditing or PM is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, research, interpret and assess regulatory risks; provide guidance to leaders and staff.
• Conduct internal compliance investigations including auditing, fact finding, interviewing and data analysis.
• Lead through difficult situations with strong written and verbal communication.

Job Summary

The Compliance Consultant position is responsible for assisting the organization in adhering to guidelines, regulations, policies, laws, and/or rules established by agencies that regulate the affiliated entities and business units the position supports. The complexity of healthcare regulatory requirements and the activities this position is responsible for requires a high degree of critical thinking and independent decision-making, as well as, knowledge about the business functions and compliance activities he/she is responsible for. This position's specific duties include monitoring, researching, interpreting and assessing regulatory risks and providing support, recommendations and guidance to organizational leaders and staff. The position is also responsible for conducting internal compliance investigations which could include auditing, fact finding, interviewing, analyzing data or information and preparing investigation documentation. The workload requires the ability to effectively multi-task, prioritize and stay organized. It also requires attention to detail and leading through difficult situations and exhibiting both effective written and verbal communication skills. Other duties as assigned.

Experience

A minimum of five years of healthcare related experience is required. 3+ years of additional experience in healthcare compliance, privacy, leadership, quality or process improvement, project management, auditing, or human resources is preferred.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration or other relevant field is required. Master's Degree in Business, Healthcare or related field preferred.

Special Skills

Required competencies: Self directed worker who can effectively manage large projects and multiple priorities. Demonstrate critical thinking, exceptional oral/written communication skills and the ability to research and assess complex regulations and other requirements. Medical terminology, medical environment exposure, auditing, project management or experience with an electronic medical records is preferred.

Licensure

Certified in Health Care Compliance (CHC), Certified in Healthcare Privacy Compliance (CHPC) or Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) preferred.
