Job summary

Yardi Systems is seeking a Compliance Auditor to review tenant certifications and ensure income eligibility across Section 8, LIHTC, HOME, and Rural Development programs. You will help maintain regulatory compliance and adapt to evolving housing guidelines in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires up to 10% travel for training and onboarding, with potential locations announced by leadership. Strong attention to detail and excellent written/verbal communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 3+ years in affordable housing compliance or property management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Audit tenant certifications to ensure eligibility for project, program, and income requirements.
• Complete certification processing with a strict 24-hour turnaround.
• Support clients in regulatory and financial compliance through eligible and compliant files.
• Stay up to date on changes in affordable housing regulations and program requirements.

Are you highly focused, self-motivated, and passionate aboutaffordable housing? RightSource is growing, and we’re looking for a team playerwith experience in Section 8, Low Income Housing Tax Credit, HOME, and RuralDevelopment, programs to join us as a Compliance Auditor. In this role, you’llreview tenant certifications, identify and help resolve compliance issues, andsupport clients in meeting critical regulatory requirements. *** This position requires flexibility for travel during thesecond week of employment for training purposes. Training may be conductedlocally or at an alternate location based on business needs. Candidates shouldbe prepared and available to travel as required during this time. ***

What You’ll Do:

• Audit tenant certifications to ensure applicants andhouseholds meet project, program, and income eligibility requirements
• Use your high attention to detail to complete certificationprocessing and ensure files are reviewed within a strict 24-hourperiod
• Support clients in achieving regulatory and financialcompliance by ensuring submitted files are eligible and fully compliant
• Stay up to date on changes and updates in affordable housingregulations and program requirements

Who You Are:

• Highschool diploma or GED
• Three plus (3+) years of experience in affordable housingcompliance and/or affordable property management
• Section 8, LIHTC, HOME, and RD program experience
• Outstanding written and verbal communications skills
• Attention to detail with a focus on quality
• Demonstrated resourcefulness and good judgment
• Task focused with the ability to work in a deadline-drivenenvironment
• Ability to travel up to 10%

Ideal to Have:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, housing studies, regulatoryaffairs, or another rule-based field
• Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS), Certified Professionalof Occupancy (CPO), Blended Occupancy Specialist (BOS), and/or Specialist inHousing Credit Management (SHCM®)orother affordable industry certifications
• Knowledge of Yardi or other property management softwareprograms
