USI Insurance Services is hiring an Employee Benefits Compliance Attorney for our Midsouth Region. This is a remote role, but candidates must reside in North Carolina, South Carolina, or Georgia.

General Description

Responsible for monitoring and communicating laws affecting health and welfare plans, including ACA, ERISA, the Code, HIPAA, and COBRA. Develop and present materials on compliance issues to internal teams and external clients.

Responsibilities

1. Establish effective relationships with internal partners, clients, and carriers.
2. Work as part of a national team of Employee Benefit Attorneys to meet compliance objectives.
3. Research, evaluate, and edit articles and alerts for publication.
4. Gather materials, perform research, and assist in strategy formulation for client issues related to ERISA, ACA, and other laws.
5. Develop and maintain compliance education tools.
6. Create and deliver presentations to internal staff and external clients.
7. Monitor legal developments affecting employee benefit plans.
8. Maintain and update compliance library resources.
