Compliance Associate: KYC/KYB & AML for Stablecoin

Job summary

HIFI is seeking a Compliance Associate to join our in-person team in New York, focusing on KYC/KYB reviews, day-to-day BSA/AML operations, transaction monitoring, and sanctions screening across fiat and on-chain flows.

You will work closely with product and engineering to translate regulatory requirements into onboarding flows, monitoring rules, and system controls, while supporting audits and regulatory examinations. This is a hands-on role in a high-growth, fintech environment.

Qualifications

• 1-4 years experience in BSA/AML, KYC/KYB, or financial crimes compliance
• Hands-on experience with transaction monitoring and alert investigations
• Experience drafting or supporting SAR filings
• Knowledge of OFAC sanctions screening and wallet address screening
• Familiarity with blockchain analytics tools (Chainalysis, TRM Labs, Elliptic)
• Ability to translate regulatory requirements into concrete rules and workflows
• Interest in building a compliance function at a high-growth company
• Comfort working with product and engineering on onboarding flows and controls

Responsibilities

• Conduct KYC/KYB due diligence and onboarding reviews for institutional clients
• Monitor fiat and stablecoin transactions; investigate alerts and support SARs
• Perform sanctions screening on clients and blockchain addresses
• Support day-to-day operations of the BSA/AML program
• Respond to due diligence requests, audits, and information requests
• Update compliance policies and documentation as regulations evolve
• Collaborate with product and engineering to translate requirements into system features
• Maintain accurate compliance records and reporting as volume grows
