Job summary

Latham & Watkins LLP in Washington, D.C. is seeking an OGC Assistant – Compliance to support regulatory compliance and risk management programs, including AML and KYC processes.

You will coordinate document collection, conduct corporate research, and escalate risk issues with lawyers and staff, in a role based in our DC office with possible hybrid scheduling. The position emphasizes collaboration, professional communication, and attention to sensitive information across multiple offices.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably.
• Prior experience in a law firm or other professional services firm, preferably.

Responsibilities

• Responding to questions from lawyers and support team regarding KYC document requirements and status.
• Participating in assigned projects that support the firm’s compliance programs and Compliance Team Strategic Plan.
• Assisting in the collection of data for discreet projects, requesting and gathering content for Compliance Team meetings.
• Promoting effective work practices, working as a team member, and showing respect for co-workers.
• Protecting and maintaining highly sensitive, confidential, privileged information.
