Job summary

Latham & Watkins is seeking an OGC Assistant – Compliance in Washington, DC to support AML and KYC programs. The role involves handling KYC document requirements, data collection for compliance projects, and collaborating with lawyers and staff to escalate risk as needed.

The position offers hybrid work with in-office presence in our DC office, and a comprehensive benefits package. A high school diploma and a bachelor's degree are preferred along with prior professional services experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably.
• Experience in a law firm or professional services firm is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responding to questions from lawyers and support team regarding KYC document requirements and status of KYC collection.
• Participating in projects supporting the firm's compliance programs and Compliance Team Strategic Plan.
• Assisting in data collection for discreet projects and gathering content for Compliance Team meetings.
• Promoting effective work practices, teamwork, and respect for co-workers.
• Protecting and maintaining highly sensitive, confidential information.
