Job summary

The University of Washington Office of Research is seeking a Compliance Analyst (ES 8) for a temporary six-month assignment. You will support conflict of interest and outside work programs, reporting to the Director of Compliance, ensuring timely reviews and accurate documentation.

This role offers telework eligibility and requires strong data handling, Excel proficiency, and collaboration with researchers and administrative offices to maintain FCOI compliance and risk-management processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, science, communications, or risk assessment, or equivalent.
• Two years of experience in a risk management, legal, or compliance role.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel; experience with data visualization tools (Power BI).

Responsibilities

• Conducts preliminary review of Outside Professional Work for Compensation forms.
• Carries out Conflict of Commitment pre-reviews and SFI disclosures.
• Coordinates with researchers and administrators to ensure timely, accurate disclosures.
• Maintains FCOI records and supports related training and reporting.
• Communicates review outcomes to central campus offices and investigators.
• Supports implementation of compliance initiatives and audit readiness.
