Job summary

Janney is seeking a Complex Operations Manager in the Washington, DC area to oversee all branch operations within a Complex, supervise support staff, and coordinate with Compliance and Operations teams. The role includes recruiting, training, performance management, and ensuring service excellence for Financial Advisors and clients.

The position emphasizes leadership, process improvement, and maintaining high ethical standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

High School diploma; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Professional licenses and certifications: Series 7, 9 and 10, 63 and 65 (or 66).
Excellent customer service skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and teamwork.
Some travel may be required; high ethical standards.

Responsibilities

Overall supervisory responsibility for branch operations within the Complex, including cashiering, disbursement of checks, account transfers, and related duties.
Supervising and training Complex support staff to ensure top service aligned with policy and rules.
Sourcing, interviewing, hiring, registering, and training new staff.
Conducting regular staff meetings and providing performance feedback.
Coordinate workflow and provide coaching and mentoring to staff.
Maintain knowledge base on products, services, forms and systems.
May assist with onboarding new Financial Advisors and coordinating recruiting with regional and home office teams.
