Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment to keep it in optimal condition.
• Identify root causes of breakdowns and repair quickly to reduce downtime.
• Record damaged parts and install replacements; file maintenance reports.
• Coordinate with managers to schedule regular maintenance on machines.

Monday through Friday - Shift Time: 10:30 PM to 7:30 AM*** ROTATING SATURDAYS & SUNDAYS***Pay Ranges:Entry through 4 years of Employment = $32.105 years through 9 years of Employment = $32.8010 years through 14 years of Employment = $33.2015 years through 19 years of Employment = $33.6020 plus years of Employment = $34.00PRIMARY FUNCTION: The Maintenance Mechanic performs preventative, maintenance, and repairs of large manufacturing equipment (hydraulic, pneumatic, conveyor, etc.).RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:Perform preventive maintenance inspections and service on machines, including cleaning, oiling, lubricating, changing belts machinery as necessary to ensure machines are in optimal working conditionIdentify root cause of unexpected breakdowns of machines; repair quickly and efficiently to decrease downtime for machineRecord and report damaged, worn, or broken parts, ordering and installing replacement parts for machines as neededPrepare reports documenting work performed.Clean, organize, inventory, stock, and otherwise maintains shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies as neededCoordinate with managers to schedule regular maintenance on machines.Collaborate with department heads regarding new products being added and modifications that will be requiredMake necessary modifications and implements tests runs; confers with product manager regarding test results and makes additional alterations to machinery as requiredIdentify opportunities for improvement, present to appropriate leader, and implement, lead or participate in solution implementationWear personal protective equipment (PPE) in all areas where mandatory helping to promote a zero-accident culturePerform additional relevant duties as assignedSUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES:None.
