Job summary

Momentous Insurance, A Marsh McLennan Agency seeks a Claims Analyst to develop and maintain client relationships, advise on claims issues, and drive timely closure of claims. You will perform reviews, provide routine status updates, and interact with clients and internal staff to achieve successful results.

Essential duties include managing claim workflows, communicating coverage positions, and coordinating with carriers and defense counsel as needed.

Qualifications

• Four years of experience in a professional office setting related to claims work.
• Bachelor’s Degree or advanced paralegal certificate highly desired.
• Maintain skills via independent study, seminars and industry resources.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic office equipment.
• Strong organizational and prioritization abilities.
• Ability to resolve problems with clear, precise communication.
• Ability to develop, plan and implement short- and long-range goals.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective claims management and advocacy for clients.
• Develop and maintain a computer-based task system and diary for claims.
• Be available and responsive to clients during regular business hours.
• Review and summarize coverage positions and recommended actions.
• Report new claims with proper tender documentation and contacts.
• Review, strategize and recommend next steps for complex claims.
• Escalate issues with guidance from the Complex Claims Manager.
• Document internal files with notes using the client management system.
• Develop relationships with claim liaisons from carriers to support handling.
• Monitor files and provide routine status updates to service teams.
