Complex Assistant Director of Finance - Embassy Suites and Hilton Tampa Downtown (Finance)

Embassy Suites and Hilton Tampa Downtown are looking to welcome a Complex Assistant Director of Finance to join the team!

Embassy Suites by Hilton Tampa Downtown Convention Center, with 360 rooms connected by skybridge to the Tampa Convention Center, and Hilton Tampa Downtown, with 520 rooms near the Riverwalk, Amalie Arena, and the Tampa Convention Center, are seeking a qualified candidate. Our team of 5+ reports to the Complex Director of Finance.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years as an Accounting Manager or current Assistant Director of Finance within hotels, with intermediate Excel skills and the ability to work flexible shifts.

Shift Pattern:

Full Availability (weekdays, weekends, holidays)

What will I be doing?

As the Complex Assistant Director of Finance, you will assist in managing all financial operations to ensure guest satisfaction and profitability. Responsibilities include:

• Managing department activities, projects, team performance, scheduling, counseling, and training
• Overseeing Accounts Receivable, Credit, and Night Audit functions
• Preparing budgets and controlling expenses
• Creating depreciation schedules for assets
• Reviewing ledger reconciliations and financial statements
• Assisting with internal audits and capital budget monitoring
• Preparing financial reports, accruals, and ensuring billing compliance
• Reviewing tax returns for compliance
• Managing payroll accounts and issuing paychecks
