Job summary

Apex Park and Recreation District is seeking a Coach to lead and supervise competitive gymnastics teams during practices, competitions, camps, and clinics. You will provide instruction across all events, including vault, bars, beam, floor, and conditioning, and help grow the program at all levels.

The role requires at least 2 years of coaching, safety knowledge, strong communication, and a commitment through the season.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Minimum 2 years of competitive gymnastics coaching experience.
• Strong knowledge of gymnastics safety standards, skill progressions, and athlete development.
• Current CPR/First Aid/AED certification or the ability to obtain it within 90 days of employment.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Coach and supervise competitive team athletes during practices, competitions, camps, clinics, and other team events.
• Develop and implement practice plans that promote skill progression, safety, confidence, and competitive success.
• Evaluate athlete performance and provide constructive feedback to athletes and parents when appropriate.
• Commit to the entirety of the competitive season and fulfill all coaching obligations throughout the season.
• Be available for Apex staff development and scheduled meetings.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe training environment and report injuries, incidents, concerns promptly to management.
• Work collaboratively with other coaches to ensure consistency across all competitive team levels.
• Assist with athlete evaluations, team placements, and season planning.
