St Lucie Battery & Tire is seeking an Automotive Technician to inspect, maintain, and repair cars and light trucks using computerized diagnostic tools. You will diagnose repairs, document findings, and perform preventive maintenance while road testing and ensuring work quality.

Strong communication with service advisors and adherence to safety guidelines are essential. Ideal candidates have 5 years of automotive repair experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and solid mechanical skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 5 years of automotive repair experience on domestic and foreign vehicles.
• Demonstrated mechanical skills and understanding of vehicle repair procedures.
• Strong customer service and effective communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, and repair cars and light trucks.
• Diagnose and document repairs with accurate records.
• Utilize multi-point inspection forms for each vehicle.
• Perform preventive and routine maintenance services.
• Road test vehicles after repairs are completed.
• Communicate with service advisors for further work or timelines.
• Operate tools safely (dollies, jacks, hoists) and follow safety guidelines.
