Job summary

Multnomah Athletic Club in Portland, OR is seeking an Assistant Dance Coach to support the Head Dance Coach in instruction, supervision, and dancer development across all competitive levels. You will help lead rehearsals, coordinate with families, and contribute to a high-quality dance program.

Qualifications

• Competitive, professional dance coaching experience required.
• Knowledge of multiple dance styles (Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Contemporary).
• Strong verbal and written communication with staff, members, parents, and dancers.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and instruct Company dancers across all competitive levels.
• Follow rehearsal schedules set by Head Dance Coach.
• Attend competitions, performances, auditions, meetings, and events.
• Support dress code, behavior, and professionalism.
• Coordinate planning of competitions, performances, and events.
• Maintain communications via TeamSnap, email, and voicemail.
• Maintain a clean, safe studio environment.
• Collaborate with Head Dance Coach and staff to meet program goals.
