Job summary

Savage Search Associates is conducting a confidential search for a highly experienced compensation and total rewards professional to support compensation consulting, training, content development, and client-facing project work. This hands-on role requires deep knowledge of pay practices and the ability to communicate complex compensation concepts clearly to internal and external audiences.

This is a regular, part-time hybrid position based in Irvine, California.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR, Finance, or related field.
• 7-8+ years of compensation experience in corporate or multinational settings.
• Strong knowledge of pay programs: strategy, market pricing, salary structures.
• Experience with compensation surveys, pricing platforms, and data systems.
• Subject matter expert in compensation and total rewards programs.
• Experience creating and delivering compensation training.
• Strong writing and communication skills.
• CCP designation via WorldatWork preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide compensation consulting to current and prospective clients.
• Design and enhance compensation and total rewards training materials.
• Review and update compensation content for accuracy and market relevance.
• Write educational content such as white papers and blogs on compensation.
• Design and deliver compensation webinars or training sessions.
• Stay current on pay practices, trends, and regulations.
• Partner with stakeholders on client initiatives and marketing.
