Job summary

Hy-Vee is seeking a Compensation Intern for Summer 2027 to support the Compensation team at the corporate office in West Des Moines, IA. This in-person, part-time role includes data preparation, reporting, and system administration for compensation programs across corporate, retail, distribution, and manufacturing positions.

The ideal candidate is pursuing an Associates or Bachelors degree, has strong writing and verbal communication skills, and a commitment to confidentiality and pay integrity

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; pursuing associate or bachelor degree preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills; ability to relate to and interact with people in a professional manner.
• Ability to identify problems and develop and execute solutions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with administration and maintenance of compensation programs.
• Prepare compensation data, reports and summaries for analysis.
• Support participation in compensation surveys and data collection.
• Assist with wage reviews and market data research.
• Provide admin support for annual compensation planning cycle.
• Support Workday Compensation administration and data accuracy.
• Develop and maintain routine HR and compensation reports.
• Monitor and document process updates and guidelines.
