Job summary

Kimball Midwest, a national distributor of maintenance, repair, and operation products, seeks a Compensation Administrator for our Columbus, Ohio location. You’ll support compensation transactions, respond to inquiries, and assist with annual planning while maintaining confidentiality.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of experience in Compensation, HR, Payroll, Finance, or related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to learn and accurately follow established processes, procedures, and guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately with data and confidential information.
• Ability to read and write small letters and numbers; perform arithmetic calculations; follow instructions.
• Successful completion of a ninety (90) day orientation period.

Responsibilities

• Supports compensation-related transactions for internal and Sales Force associates; follows established processes.
• Addresses standard compensation inquiries; provides accurate information and escalates when needed.
• Provides exceptional customer service to associates in a timely, professional, solutions-focused manner.
• Prepares job change documentation and processes changes in applicable systems.
• Enters new job titles and position information into the HRIS.
• Creates standard Sales Force compensation plans, including new-hire plans, based on approved requests.
• Processes Sales Force quota and adjustment requests per procedures.
• Conducts audits and data validations per established procedures, escalating discrepancies.
• Completes recurring state-required reporting accurately and timely.
• Ensures compensation increases follow established approval processes.
• Assists with annual compensation planning and related documentation.
• Provides administrative support for compensation programs and initiatives.
• Gains foundational knowledge through hands-on experience and collaboration with Compensation team.
• Maintains confidentiality of sensitive compensation and company information.
