Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled Compensation Consultant to join our team as an independent contractor. The ideal candidate will have experience with handling or creating compensation structures for multiple firms and a deep understanding of compensation strategies and practices, and will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing compensation programs that align with our clients’ business objectives and talent management goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct job evaluations using point factor methodology and others.
  • Conduct market analysis and benchmarking to create and ensure competitive compensation structures.
  • Conduct salary and benefits surveys; identify key comparator organizations to invite for survey participation.
  • Design and administer advise clients regarding compensation programs, including base pay, bonuses, incentives, and equity plans, shift differentials, skill-based pay, certification pay, etc..
  • Advise clients regarding benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, retirement and various perquisites.
  • Conduct pay equity studies and perform compression analysis and advise clients accordingly.
  • Advise clients regarding FLSA and EEO Reporting Classifications.
  • Design and prepare job descriptions and job specifications.
  • Conduct market analysis and benchmarking to ensure competitive compensation structures.
  • Collaborate with clients to develop and implement compensation policies and procedures.
  • Provide guidance and support on compensation-related issues to HR and business leaders.
  • Analyze compensation data and trends to make informed recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in compensation management, either with government agencies or private companies (preferably Fortune 500).
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in compensation analysis tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
