Job Overview
The Director of Compensation & Benefits is a regional leader within the company's global C&B team, overseeing the Americas region (USA, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Venezuela, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Panama, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Chile, Argentina, and Uruguay). This role will develop and execute regional C&B strategies, manage the regional team, and provide expertise and support to HRBPs, market HR partners, and management. The Director also serves as the regional subject matter expert within the broader C&B team.
Note: For US/Canada, the role focuses solely on Compensation, as a separate North America Benefits team manages benefits.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Management: Lead, develop, and support the regional compensation and benefits team, including goal setting, performance reviews, and coaching.
- Plan Design and Administration: Benchmark, assess, and implement regional compensation and benefits plans tailored to Latin American markets, collaborating with senior leadership on strategy and renewals.
- Compensation Processes: Oversee regional compensation programs, recommend job leveling, manage salary reviews, and support incentive plans with budgeting, communication, and data analysis.
- Standardization and Harmonization: Coordinate with global teams to identify standard practices and local solutions, ensuring clear documentation and understanding among HR partners.
- Project Management: Lead and contribute to global and regional projects, managing plans, resources, and communications for successful execution.
- Collaboration: Build internal relationships across HR, Legal, Finance, and Payroll, and work with regional HR leaders on change management strategies.
- Communications: Prepare and deliver presentations on compensation and benefits, translating global content for Spanish-speaking employees, and supporting communication initiatives.
- Vendor Management: Establish and oversee partnerships with third-party providers and vendors to ensure deliverables are met.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to regional and country-specific laws and regulations in Latin America.
- Mergers & Acquisitions: Support due diligence, cost analysis, retention strategies, and integration activities related to M&A transactions.
- Process Improvement: Act as subject matter expert on C&B processes, including system enhancements like Workday, to improve employee and team experiences.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Finance, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years in developing, managing, and implementing compensation and benefits programs at a corporate and international level.
- 3+ years of leadership experience managing teams, budgets, and partnering with senior leaders.
- Deep understanding of Latin American labor laws and regulations related to compensation and benefits.
- Experience in developing and delivering presentations.
- Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and charts.
- Proficiency in English and Spanish (written and oral).
- Proficiency in MS Office applications and HRIS systems, preferably Workday.

Salary Range: $126,500 - $180,500, commensurate with experience and location. Potential for bonuses and additional benefits.
