Job summary

Nuro is seeking a Compensation and Benefits Analyst to support total rewards programs across the company. You will help ensure benefits programs are competitive, accurate, scalable, and aligned with business needs, and support ad hoc compensation requests and day-to-day workflows.

As a key member of the People team, you will collaborate with Total Rewards leaders, Recruiting, HRBPs, People Operations, Finance, Payroll, and business leaders to provide data, analysis, and operational support

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of compensation and benefits experience in a fast-paced, high-ambiguity environment.
  • Strong numerical reasoning and analytical skills with advanced Excel/Google Sheets.
  • Excellent communication skills to explain compensation and benefits topics to employees and partners.
  • Experience supporting benefits administration, open enrollment, invoices, audits.
  • Experience with Workday or a modern HRIS.
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Finance, Economics, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

  • Support compensation modeling, market pricing, salary range development, offer analysis, and pay decision support.
  • Support benefits administration, open enrollment, leave of absence administration, and related processes.
  • Build reports and analyses to identify pay trends, internal equity, and market competitiveness.
  • Audit and maintain accuracy of compensation and benefits data across systems and processes.
  • Identify automation opportunities to improve Total Rewards workflows and efficiency.

Job description

  • We are looking for a Compensation and Benefits Analyst to support Nuro’s total rewards programs across the company
  • This role will both help ensure our benefits programs are competitive, accurate, scalable, and aligned with the needs of the business, as well as support ad hoc compensation requests and support the Senior Manager of Total Rewards in day-to-day compensation-related workflows
  • As a key member of the People team, you will support benefits administration, open enrollment, benefit review and selection, leave of absence administration, compensation analysis, recruiting offer support, and ongoing program audits
  • You will work closely with the Total Rewards leader, Recruiting, HRBPs, People Operations, Finance, Payroll, and business leaders to provide data, analysis, and operational support across core rewards programs
  • This role is a strong fit for someone who enjoys working with data, understands the importance of accuracy and confidentiality, and can balance analytical work with employee-facing support
  • The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, practical, and comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment where high-quality execution matters
  • Support compensation modeling, market pricing, salary range development, offer analysis, and pay decision support for Recruiting, HRBPs, Finance, and Technology Group and Business Group leaders
  • Optimize benefits administration processes, audit enrollments, invoice reconciliation, and compliance documentation to cut manual effort and reduce friction for employees
  • Support benefits processes and policies, including open enrollment and benefit offerings for employees working abroad
  • Identify and build automation for recurring benefits operations, including eligibility checks, leave tracking, vendor coordination, and employee communications
  • Support key compensation cycles, including merit, bonus, equity refresh, promotions, and off-cycle adjustments
  • Build reports and analyses that help identify pay trends, internal equity considerations, market competitiveness, and compensation program needs
  • Maintain accurate compensation and benefits data through audits, reporting, documentation, and system updates
  • Improve Total Rewards processes through cleaner data, stronger documentation, scalable workflows, and thoughtful use of AI-enabled tools
