Job summary

Dallas College is seeking a Compensation Analyst to shape compensation strategy through data-driven insights and salary structure development. The role partners with HR stakeholders to ensure compliant, competitive pay practices and equity considerations.

Strong analytics, communication, and system fluency are essential. The analyst will work with tools like Excel and Power BI, contribute to policy interpretation, and support annual compensation cycles while maintaining data integrity.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; or three years of professional level experience in compensation and job analysis/evaluation.
  • Experience with compensation software and data analytics tools such as Excel, SQL Server, Culpepper, CompAnalyst, etc.
  • Knowledge of compensation structures, job evaluations, and pay equity concepts.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and ability to prepare clear reports.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct market pricing and benchmarking using CUPA-HR and other sources.
  • Analyze compensation data and trends to guide salary structure design and equity adjustments.
  • Conduct job evaluations and prepare position classifications.
  • Evaluate internal equity and external competitiveness for offers and reclassifications.
  • Develop and maintain job descriptions and salary grade assignments.
  • Support annual compensation cycles including merit reviews and off-cycle adjustments.
  • Create dashboards, visuals, and presentations to communicate insights to leaders.
