Job summary

Catholic Charities of Onondaga County is seeking a Program Associate to support the warming center and provide a safe, respectful environment for homeless individuals in line with our low barrier care approach. You’ll complete client assessments, advocate for services, explain center policies, respond to emergencies, and help maintain a welcoming space.

This is a per-diem, hourly role paying $18.50. The position requires HS diploma or GED and up to three years of relevant experience; mobility to

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED with up to 3 years relevant experience or equivalent.
• Experience working with homeless population preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete client assessment and advocate for clients to suggest programs and services.
• Explain and maintain Warming Center policies and procedures.
• Respond to client emergencies and notify appropriate personnel promptly.
• Provide ongoing support to the Warming Center with CCIC/CCMS.
• Light cleaning after each shift to prepare space for future use.
