Job summary

The Veterinary Clinic of Pearland seeks a dedicated Veterinary Technician to support veterinarians and staff in delivering high-quality small-animal care in Pearland, TX. You will assist with exams, surgeries, and in-house tests while educating clients and maintaining patient safety.

Responsibilities include monitoring hospitalized pets, handling specimens, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. Weekend availability and prior veterinary experience are preferred for this role.

Qualifications

• Ability to work on weekends as required.
• Previous veterinary experience preferred.
• Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; assist over 25 pounds with help.
• Strong communication skills to ensure patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians in the practice and in surgeries as needed.
• Take histories, vitals, and weights during outpatient exams and educate clients.
• Prepare patients for surgery and monitor vitals during procedures.
• Obtain samples and perform in-hospital lab testing; prepare specimens for outside labs.
