Job summary

The Veterinary Clinic of Pearland in Pearland, TX, is seeking a Veterinary Technician to support veterinarians, monitor hospitalized patients, and manage routine in-house laboratory work in a busy community practice.

You will educate clients, assist with surgeries, handle specimens and radiographs, and maintain inventory while upholding high standards of patient care and client service.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians in medicine, surgery and related tasks.
• Take histories, vitals, and weights; educate clients during exams.
• Prepare patients for surgery and monitor vital signs intraoperatively.
• Obtain samples and perform in-house lab work; prepare specimens for outside labs.
• Take, develop, and maintain radiographs with proper safety.
• Handle and restrain animals during exams as needed.
• Administer medications, anesthesia, vaccines, and treatments per veterinarian.
• Clean and restock exam and treatment areas; ensure equipment readiness.
• Demonstrate warmth and professionalism with clients and patients.
• Communicate plans and concerns with veterinarians and staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
