Job summary

Responsibilities include assisting with treatments, restraining animals, conducting routine diagnostics, sterilizing instruments, maintaining a clean hospital environment, and helping clients with their pets. Experience is welcome but not required; physical demands include lifting up to 40 lbs.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Self-starter and able to multitask, team player.
• Genuinely enjoys working with animals and can handle them when stressed or in pain.
• Prefer 1+ years of experience, but not required.
• Physically able to lift up to 40 lbs and restrain animals.
• Able to walk/stand for extended periods and work in a bent/squatting position.
• Experience working in a hospital team is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care and treatment.
• Monitor hospitalized pets; aid in care after surgery.
• Maintain inventory and stocking.
• Restrain animals during blood draws and nail trims.
• Assist with routine diagnostic tests (radiographs, bloodwork, fecal).
• Sterilize surgical instruments and equipment.
• Clean/disinfect cages, kennels, and exam/treatment areas.
• Administer medications under Veterinarian/Vet Tech supervision.
• Feed and bathe animals.
• Answer phones and assist clients with their pets.
