BluePearl Pet Hospital in Queens, NY is seeking a compassionate, organized Veterinary Receptionist to join our team.

Schedule: Sunday to Wednesday, 8am–6pm; Pay: $21.50–$29.50 per hour plus competitive shift differentials for evenings and weekends. This pay band is dependent on experience and advancement through our competency assessment tool.

You will greet clients, manage appointments, answer calls, and support the hospital team in a fast-paced, emotionally charged environment.

Qualifications

• Compassionate, organized, and motivated veterinary receptionist.

Responsibilities

• Greet each client with warmth and professionalism at the hospital entry.
• Maintain a friendly, approachable demeanor and clear communication with clients.
• Listen attentively to clients and concerns to gather accurate information.
• Communicate clearly in person and by phone, ensuring information is understood.
• Assess arrival needs and pet condition to determine urgency and appointments.
• Confirm appointments and provide preparation and care guidance to clients.
• Provide emotional support and resources to grieving clients with discretion.
• Act as liaison between clients and service teams during pet remains handling.
