Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians and technicians with patient care and treatments.
• Monitor hospitalized patients and assist with exams by taking histories and vital signs.
• Prepare patients for surgery and monitor vital signs during procedures.
• Obtain samples and perform in-house laboratory testing; prepare specimens for outside labs.
• Take radiographs following safety procedures.
• Provide basic animal handling and restraint during exams.
• Administer medications, anesthesia, vaccines, and other treatments as directed.
• Maintain clean, stocked exam and treatment areas; assist with equipment and room readiness.
• Communicate with clients and team about patient plans and concerns.
• Any other duties as assigned.
