Job summary

PetVet Care Centers’ Providence Animal Hospital in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our team. You will support veterinarians and technicians by cleaning, feeding, restraining patients, and handling clerical tasks in a busy general practice.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be 18 years of age or older to be considered for this position
• Medical knowledge is required
• Basic animal restraint

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to all patients
• Greet patients and their owners, take weight and vital signs on arrival
• Triage patients, perform medical treatments and assist with medications
• Calm and soothe anxious patients
• Assist doctors and technicians with administration of medications or patient restraint
• Perform laboratory tests and take radiographs
• Operate and maintain hospital equipment and maintain proper documentation
