Qualifications

• Ability to work on weekends as required.
• Previous veterinary experience preferred.
• Lift up to 25 pounds; assist with heavier lifts with help.
• Practice OSHA safety techniques including PPE.
• Basic math for dosage calculations.
• Basic computer skills, MS Office familiarity.
• Strong communication to ensure patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians and technicians with patient care and treatment.
• Monitor hospitalized pets and assist with routine in-house labs.
• Educate clients regarding veterinary care and procedures.
• Assist with surgical procedures and anesthesia as directed.
• Obtain samples, take histories, vitals, and weights during exams.
• Maintain inventory and restock supplies; clean and organize rooms.
• Handle radiographs following safety procedures.
