Job summary

PetVet Care Centers Deer Park Animal Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to support veterinarians and technicians with exams, treatments, and daily tasks. The role includes patient handling, preparing surgery areas, and maintaining a clean, organized hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older to apply.
• Ability to work with sick animals and potentially hazardous materials.
• Comfort with cleaning chemicals, anesthesia agents, and zoonotic diseases.
• Physical ability for lifting and constant movement.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to patients and greet owners.
• Assist veterinarians and technicians during exams and treatments.
• Clean and maintain hospital areas, cages, and equipment.
• Take vital signs, assist with medications, and manage documentation.
